I'm flashing light at a mirror in the dark
With a flame that I started with a spark
That over hundreds of years became an optical illusion
Astronomers accuse me of light pollution
I ain't tryin' to flash their telescopes
I ain't tryin' to raise their hopes
Of discovering the source of original flame
There's billions of stars that have never been named
It seems to me that if the universe is infinite
I can sit back and see the planets that are dimly lit
Just by closing my eyes I can manifest their shape
I consider their size, and no light can escape
From the black hole I've become enclosed in
I'm suspended - my animation's frozen
I'm at the top of a self-suspended peak
Of my life -
I'm evolving to the point where I don't speak
And I am solving puzzles of existence in a sphere
There's no point in listening because I can't hear
All the sounds on the outside
I tiptoe on the fine line
Am I still alive, well I'm lookin' for a sign
I notice the infinite points the light's bouncing to
I've become immortal since I stepped within you
The personification of external enlightenment
I took a torch to my senses and I heightened 'em
I can't deny my imagination's spun
There's nothing I've consumed
There's no drugs that I've done
I could be rolling
I could be bouncing
I could be floating
But I don't really care where this ball is going
Or if it's just stayin' in the same spot
I ain't focused on that
No my perception is shot
All I can recognize is my silhouette
It's shadowy, it's scary and I try to forget
That I am in this space
I focus on the light
From the flame that is never ever-present and bright
Too much white
Becomes black
And every color in-between begins to stack
And like a negative
I can only see my outline
I'm a bubble child being born for the first time
Those I last spoke to sealed me in
And sealed my fate
I don't know where to begin...
The tigers are walking 'round the building
The tigers are doing busy work
The tigers are licking on their suckers
They think that it's another perk
A new tiger is entering the building
To be put to work, he is ready and willing
He picks up a pen
It's attached to a chain
Pretty soon that chain
Is gonna be on his brain
The tiger is jumping thru it's hoops
The tigers are concerned 'bout security
The tigers all wear cards on a string
The tigers are listening for the bell
And wondering when it's gonna ring
The new tiger doesn't wear a card
He's filling out paperwork and he's workin' hard
Takin' a test
Typin' on computer keys
"GIMME A JOB!" He says "GIMME A JOB!"
"I'M ON MY KNEES!!!"
The tiger is jumping thru it's hoops
The tigers are drinking soda pop
The tigers are smoking cigarettes
The tigers are crying cuz they think this is
As good as it gets
The new tiger is being led on a tour
The new tiger is being led to a door
He sees the other tigers lookin' blue
And now it's time for his interview
The tiger is jumping thru it's hoops
The tigers are drinking lots of caffeine
The tigers are popping lots of pills
The tigers will go home and drink alcohol
And zone out on the TV 'stead of thinkin' bout their bills
The new tiger is drinking water and tea (and cranberry)
The new tiger is taking vitamin B
He has to go to the doctor and take a pee
To prove to his masters that he is drug free
The tiger is jumping thru it's hoops
We are the Shiitake Mushrooms
We are the Shiit!
Dance your way out the state
Spread peace with the things you create
Cuz borders only lead to hate
Newfreeland is our headquarters
Where there ain't no laws and there ain't no borders
Newfreeland is everywhere you stand
Sometimes philosophical
Sometimes naughty
We're good for the mind
And we're good for the body
Motherfuckin' flies everywhere!
Wouldn't be surprised if they're in my hair
Hurry Whales
